“Starting over is the triumph, not the failure” flipped something for me. I keep visiting shrines to build a relationship with the kami there — but I bet from the outside, that could just look like someone chasing luck over and over. Maybe the things that look like failure (or greed) from one angle are just practice from another. Did the reframe change how you look at other “failures” outside meditation too?

Thank you! Yes, it absolutely made it easier for me to move on anytime I need to pivot. To be honest I don't know if I even look at anything as failure anymore.

That’s such a clean place to land — no more sorting things into failure or not, just movement. I think I’m still a few reframes away from that, but this gives me something to aim for.

Meditation can be a practice of self-forgiveness, and helps us to forgive others. Beautiful imagery, Michele.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. I've never meditated before, so you're my teacher. Meditation is difficult to put into words, but I think it might just be about acknowledging myself as I am here. My chest expands with each breath. I feel the warmth in my hands. Just the feeling of being here. Is that right, teacher?☺️
